One of the most common questions people ask me is surprisingly simple:

Help me figure out what to do with my life.”

Students ask it. Young professionals ask it. Entrepreneurs ask it. Even people with good jobs, stable incomes, and impressive titles quietly ask the same question.

And honestly?
Most people are not confused because they are lazy or unintelligent. They are confused because life became noisy. Expectations became many. And somewhere along the way, they lost clarity.

Here’s the first thing I usually tell them:

You do not figure out your whole life at once.

You figure it out one honest step at a time.

Most people are trying to discover a perfect life plan. But life rarely works that way. Clarity often comes through movement, not before movement.

That is why I always return to two simple frameworks that have helped me and many others:

1. The Wheel of Life
2. The GPS Framework

Start with the Wheel of Life

Before setting goals, first ask:

Where exactly am I struggling?”

Many people think they need a career change, yet the real problem is burnout. Others think they need more money, yet the real problem is lack of direction, discipline, or relationships.

The Wheel of Life helps you reflect on three major areas:

Work
• Money / Value
• Growth
• Mission

Health
• Body
• Mind
• Soul

Relationships
• Family
• Friends
• Romance

When you honestly assess these areas, patterns begin to emerge.

Sometimes the issue is not that your life is bad. It is simply imbalanced.

Then Use GPS

Once you identify the gaps, don’t panic.
Use GPS:

G — Goal
What exactly do you want to improve?
Not vague wishes. Real clarity.

P — Plan
What practical steps can move you forward?
Simple steps. Not motivational quotes.

S — System
What habits will sustain progress?
Because motivation fades. Systems remain.

One Question You Must Honestly Answer

There’s one powerful question my favorite YouTuber Ali Abdaal often asks people who approach him for advice:

What would you do [with your life] if you didn’t care about the money?”

Honestly, every one of us should attempt to answer that question.

Would you still be doing the job you are currently doing if money was removed from the equation?

If your answer is yes, congratulations.

That is a beautiful thing. You may already be aligned with your purpose, your strengths, and what truly fulfills you.

But if your answer is no, then the next question becomes even more important:

What would you be doing?

Many people stop there because the answer scares them.
Maybe it feels unrealistic. Maybe society discouraged it. Maybe responsibilities buried it. Maybe fear convinced you it was impossible.

But is it truly impossible?

I don’t think so.

The real issue is that many people never move beyond dreaming. They never create a plan. They never build systems. They never start.

And that brings us back to GPS.

G — Goal: What exactly do you want?
P — Plan: What practical steps can move you closer to it?
S — System: What habits and routines will sustain the journey?

You may not transition overnight.
You may not have everything figured out immediately.
But clarity grows when movement begins.

So what are you doing about it?

Get your GPS. And let’s move.

Stop Waiting for Your “Big Purpose”

One mistake many people make is believing they must discover their ultimate life purpose before starting anything meaningful.

That pressure paralyses them.

Sometimes purpose is discovered through:
• trying,
• failing,
• learning,
• growing,
• serving,
• and paying attention to what energizes you.

You do not need a perfect roadmap.
You need movement, reflection, and consistency.

A Small Challenge for You

Today, take a notebook and answer these three questions honestly:

1. Which area of my Wheel of Life currently feels weakest?
2. What is one meaningful goal I can pursue in that area?
3. What small system or habit can I start this week?

That’s it.
Not ten goals.
Not a “new life by Monday.”
Just one honest beginning.

Final Thought

You are not behind in life.
You are not lost forever.
And you do not need to have everything figured out immediately.

Clarity grows when you become intentional.

One step.
One habit.
One honest reflection at a time.

Until next time,

Believe. Build. Be Bold.
